One of the features offered by AMD FX 9000 series is a specification clock. AMD FX 9590 has a maximum clock speed of 5GHz and FX 9370 has a maximum clock speed of 4.7 GHz.
However, the clock speed can only be achieved by activating the Turbo CORE feature. Of course this indicates a base clock speed of the processor is lower than that value, and only partial core processor are active when the processor operates at a clock speed of 4.7 GHz and 5 GHz. With specs like that clock, FX 9590 and FX 9370 has a TDP of 220 Watts value.
And what about the price? Based on the news we gather, a shop called PCSuperstore had opened the pre-order processors AMD FX 9000 series is. Pre-order price opened at $ 920.31 for the FX 9590 (part number FD9590FHHKWOF) and $ 576.27 for the FX 9370 .
WOF code indicates that the processor is included for sale without any cooling system. With prices like that of course these processors will face the Core i7 3960X ($ 1,059) and the Core i7 3930K ($ 594). We're pretty curious if the price FX 9590 and FX 9370 will be as appropriate to the performance.
Looking at the price of AMD FX 9590 and FX 9370 certainly makes the total cost to build the system to swell. Moreover, users need to provide the motherboard with the ability to supply sufficient power so that the processor is working to its maximum capability.
Not only that, with a TDP of 220 watts, it takes a high-performance cooling system that is able to handle the TDP of it. Of course the cooling system with the ability usually has a high selling price. With conditions like these casual users will probably think many times before has the AMD FX 9000 but will be another of his business for the overclockers.
